POURED IN PLACE

Poured-in-Place
Rubber Surfacing
Enhancing Playground Safety

Poured-in-Place (PIP) rubber surfacing, also known as PIP playground surfacing, is predominantly composed of recycled rubber. This innovative surface application is poured directly onto playgrounds, replacing traditional materials like loose mulch, sand, or gravel to prevent injuries. The thickness of the rubber layers is customized based on specific playground fall height requirements, ensuring optimal safety for playground users.

PIP playground surfaces consist of a robust two-layer system. The base layer is made from 100% post-consumer recycled Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) mixed with polyurethane, while the top layer utilizes recycled post-industrial Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) also mixed with polyurethane. The thickness of these layers is meticulously determined during playground inspection to exceed safety standards.

Safe and Long-lasting

PIP rubber playground surfaces are renowned for their durability and permanence, offering a safe and virtually maintenance-free option. The rubber surface material is customizable in terms of depth, color, shape, and design. The pour-in-place method enables a recreational flooring surface that is both safe and enduring, with limitless design possibilities.

Our installed PIP rubber playground surfaces comply with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and ASTM Determination of Playground Surface Accessibility requirements.
